Construction Foam Products backer rods are available in a variety of shapes and diameters including cylindrical rods, half rounds, quarter rounds, trap rods, tri rods, sheets and rolls. Backer rods are primarily used in expansion and contraction joints and are used to limit the depth of the sealant, help the sealant assume an optimum hourglass shape factor to prolong sealant life, and serve as a bond breaker to prevent bottom-side adhesion of the sealant.

In addition, we offer several specialty backer rods for use in fillet joints and shallow joint reservoirs.
