To increase energy efficiency and prevent air leakage, Construction Foam Products offers SOF® Seal and SOF® Seal PLUS as air infiltration barriers. SOF Seal is a bi-cellular polyethylene foam gasket with a non-absorbing skin. SOF Seal and SOF Seal PLUS are “P” shaped gaskets used on marriage wall joints in factory-built modular and double-wide manufactured homes.

SOF® Seal PLUS

SOF Seal PLUS for use on marriage wall joints in factory-built modular and double-wide manufactured homes is a closed cell polyethylene foam gasket in the shape of a "P". SOF Seal PLUS is manufactured with a convenient nail fin. The closed cell material is naturally more durable, while the hole in the middle provides a low compression deflection to prevent bowing of the wooden frame.

SOF® Rod

SOF Rod for residential construction is commonly used around wall or joint cavities, between pre-hung doors and windows and rough openings in wood frame homes. The low compression deflection and high compression recovery of these products will not bow windows or door jambs and will adapt to seasonal joint movement. Specific uses for SOF Seal and SOF Rod include log homes, marriage joints, sealing at attic access openings, casement window joints, some dry wall applications, wall to wall joints, wall to floor joints, and roof to wall joints, and around doors and windows in wood frame structures.
